WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme currently hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week there are three questions to answer:

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

WHAT DO YOU PLAN ON READING NEXT?

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Right now, I’m reading an ARC of I Burned Down His House for the blog tour. It’s #3 in the Love At First Crime series. The plot is moving well, so far.

I Burned Down His House (Love at First Crime Book 3)

By: Jessica Frances

Published: November 28, 2017

She burned his house down, so he lit a fire between them that she could never extinguish.

So, I burned his house down.
It was an accident.
I mean, technically, the dog did it.
Well, the dog helped me to do it.
Did I mention it was an accident?
When circumstances mean I suddenly have a new housemate,
A man who is my ultimate fantasy,
And my entire world is turned upside down by new friends,
And a dog who likes to get me into trouble,
I have to wonder how my life got so crazy.
Add in my neighbor, who is under investigation;
Some unfinished business from the past, which just won’t go away;
Interfering family, who don’t know when to stop;
And mixed signals, making me wonder if fantasies really can come true,
And you have my new, hectic, crazy life.
But, when things take a dangerous turn,
And lives are on the line,
Will we all make it through in one piece?
Or is everything destined to crumble down around us?
Who would have thought that burning down a house would change everything so much?
Then again, as some people say: there is nothing quite like love at first … crime.

Warning: This book contains course language and sexual situations.

I Burned Down His House is a standalone. Each book in this series can be read out of order. Couples will crossover with other books, so it is recommended they are read in order to get the full enjoyment out of those appearances.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

I just finished reading The Charmer’s Gambit, #2 in the Mershano Empire series by Lexi C. Foss. This is, as the title suggests, about a man who uses every trick in his arsenal – business & seduction – to get the girl he wants. I gave it a 4-star rating. Check out my review here. The first book in the series (my favourite so far!), The Prince’s Game, is free!

The Charmer’s Gambit (Mershano Empire Book 2)

By: Lexi C. Foss

He set his sights on the wrong girl.
Me.

Law school taught me a lot of things, but nothing prepared me to deal with this determined, hotter-than-Hell millionaire. Don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered. But resisting Will Mershano is harder than passing the bar. He’s everything: sexy, confident, intelligent. And he wants me.

When he hires my firm to represent Mershano Vineyards, I’m left with no choice but to work right alongside him—or forfeit my job. There’s only one problem. He doesn’t know about my past or how it stalks me at every turn. All he wants is a little flirtatious fun, but Will’s playing a dangerous game.

And there’s more at stake than just my heart. . .

**Although this book is part of a series, it is a standalone novel that can be enjoyed without reading the other Mershano Empire books**

Another book I read was Scarred by Willow Winters. It is part of the Damaged duet in the Sins & Secrets Duets series. The duet follows Kat & Evan, whose marriage seemingly implodes after certain secrets come to light. For the great action & intense suspense, I gave it a 5-star rating. Read my review, but I highly recommend that you read Damaged first.

Scarred: Damaged Duet Book 2

By: Willow Winters

She made me a better man, but I still wasn’t good enough to keep her.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, with sleeve tattoos, ripped muscle and a cold-hearted stare, I am who I am. The bad boy she knew to stay away from.

I knew we were never supposed to last. But the way her lips tasted, the way her curves felt under my hands… I couldn’t let go. I did everything I could to keep her.

I put on a ring on her finger and straightened out my life. All for her.

I should’ve known better.

One mistake tore us apart and I don’t know what I can do to salvage what we once had.

I knew it wasn’t supposed to last, but if I could make her stay with me once… I can do it again.

Watch me. I love my sweetheart; I’m not losing her again.

Scarred can be read as a standalone, but it is highly recommended that the first book in Kat and Evan’s duet, Damaged, is read first.

WHAT DO YOU PLAN ON READING NEXT?

To the top of my list is The Plan by Ella James. The blurb intrigued me, so I’m gonna jump on that as soon as I can.

The Plan: A Standalone Off-Limits Romance

By: Ella James

You’ve heard this story before. Woman feels her biological clock ticking and gets someone to knock her up.
Not for love, for baby.
Crazy, right?
That’s what I thought.
Then I found out my fiancé had a vasectomy. The life I thought I had? Nope. Suddenly I’m 33, and I don’t even have a kissing buddy.
When my mom’s health takes a turn and I wind up back in my hometown of Fate, Alabama, I tell myself to leave things up to…well, you know.
Then I see Gabriel McKellan. He’s Fate’s most famous son, a bestselling author who is beautiful, complicated, and living just below me. In addition to his plus-sized brain, Gabe’s well-endowed in other ways, and great in bed to boot. I would know. He’s my ex husband.
When I suggest The Plan, I don’t imagine that he’ll take the bait. It’s been ten years, and we don’t work. But Fate has other plans for both of us.

The Plan is a standalone, 70,000-word novel. It ends at 70 percent and is followed by an excerpt from Fractured Love, another Off-Limits romance.
