by Alice Gaines
A Players’ Pact Novel
Publication Date: July 13, 2020
Genres: Adult, Entangled: Indulgence, Contemporary, Romance, Second Chance, Reunited Lovers

I’ve got to admit, life is sweet these days. As a starting NFL quarterback, I do okay, and I haven’t been lacking for female companionship. But I’d give it all up in a heartbeat if I could get back the woman I loved and lost—my ex-wife, Katy.

Now I’m at a wedding, watching one of my best friends tie the knot. I’m happy for him—really. I just wish things had turned out better when I’d taken that walk down the aisle. Still, those days are over.

I’m on my way up to my room when I run into my ex in the elevator. It’s like karma. Has to be. Only she’s with some random guy, who’s getting a little too handsy for my liking. I can’t help myself—I have to say something. Something that ruins her night…and mine, too.

Now, I’m sitting alone in my hotel room, when suddenly, Katy’s at my door, complaining that I ruined her 30th birthday. Her solution—that I give her the night of sexual adventure I’d derailed in the elevator.

I never was very good at saying no to her…

Grant & his ex-wife Katy can’t seem to forget each other. After running into each other on Katy’s birthday, they embark on a short affair to permanently lay to rest the lingering feelings between them, but find a second chance is all their hearts ever truly wanted.

I liked this read. It was pretty light and uncomplicated. I liked the way that Grant & Katy worked through their issues without too much drama & interference from outside forces. I would have liked to have more of their past to read about, though, so I could get more of a backstory of the couple.

I recommend this steamy, well-paced novel.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book, received via NetGalley.

The . . . missing groom.Molly Miller had become a cliché when Jackson Davis left her at the altar, but she’d crawled back from the heartbreak and embarrassment and was living her dream of running a successful eatery in San Francisco.Well, good riddance. She didn’t need Jackson, or any other man in her life. She had Molly’s, her restaurant, she had her customers, and she finally had found some happy.Who cared that she had unanswered questions as to why Jackson had left? It didn’t matter. He’d gone and that was that. Moving on, grinding out one day in front of another, baking her way through her emotions and generally moving on with her life.

Until . . . one early morning Jackson walked through the front door of her restaurant.

And her whole world imploded.

Four years after the most humiliating day of her life, Molly comes face-to-face with her runaway groom. Her anger and pain soon give way to other emotions as the past returns with a vengeance for them both.

I liked Molly as a heroine. She was the right amount of fierce. I liked that Jackson understood that he needed to let certain things go Molly’s way in his quest for a second chance, but he knew when to step in to take care of her, too.

I really enjoyed the suspense angle of this book. I like the twists and turns and the promise of more to come. I can’t wait for the next in the series and the spin-off.

#BlogTour: Heartbreak Beat by Elle Greco ~ #4stars

Looking for your next rockstar romance read? Head out on the road with the LA Rock Stars in newcomer Elle Greco’s HEARTBREAK BEAT! Get your copy today or start reading it for free with Kindle Unlimited.

Nikki Benson is one of LA’s best drummers.

Rock scion Dion Davis, lead singer for the breakout band Rogue Nation, is her stepbrother from hell.

When Nikki is asked to join Rogue Nation to save their faltering tour, it’s her dream come true. But drumming for the band means being in close proximity to Dion. And this stepbrother from hell is the boy she’s crushed on since she was twelve.

For years, they’ve ignored the explosive chemistry building between them. But living in the tight confines of a tour bus, those sparks will be hard to ignore. And falling in love is the last thing these fledgling bandmates need right now.

Will saving his band mean breaking her heart?

Heartbreak Beat is the first book in the Rogue Rock Star Romance series. Set in the glam and gritty Los Angeles rock scene, the series is filled with swoon-worthy men and badass women, all chasing their dreams in Hollywood’s cut-throat music industry.

Get ready to fall in love with a Rogue Rock Star.

Against the drug-infested, sex-riddled world of music that Nikki was born into, her attraction to her stepbrother Dion seems to cause her the biggest distraction.

Nikki has been offered a fill-in position in her stepbrothers’ band – Rogue Nation – after the fatal overdose of their drummer. Facing strong opposition from Dion and dealing with her own self doubt, Nikki’s not sure she can handle the pressure. As Dion runs hot and cold, she’s forced to reassess her priorities and decide what she really wants out of music.

While I enjoyed reading the book from Nikki’s POV, I felt it would have been better served if we got to hear what was going on in Dion’s head at certain pivotal moments. We see Dion as a jerk for most of the book before we see a flip, and it would have been nice to know when he decided to admit to himself that Nikki was more than an annoying little stepsister to him.

Other than that, I enjoyed the book. I liked the dynamic among all the characters – especially the three sisters – and look forward to their individual stories as the series progresses.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

I write fiction about badass women (and the people they love).

Urban Fantasy lovers will know me as Karen Greco, author of the best-selling Hell’s Belle series. My Contemporary Romance books are written under Elle Greco.

While the genres are worlds apart, strong female characters are the chain that links all my worlds.

These women are magical. They wield wicked weapons. They play a mean drum solo. They fall in love. They rule the boardroom and the bedroom.

Whatever they do, they do it with swagger.

My storytelling career began when I forced everyone play “make believe” with me when I was a kid. That eventually morphed into banging out short stories on my mom’s old manual typewriter. As I got older, I graduated to penning bad poetry, then not terrible plays as a teenager. I studied playwright in college but my career took a detour and I ended up working in journalism and then entertainment publicity, which kept me busy for 20 or so years.

My “day job” has taken me from gritty rock clubs in The Bowery to glam red carpets during movie premieres and awards shows. My background working with talent (and the suits) in the industry has served me well with the LA Rock Star Romance series.

A few years ago, I decided to pursue my original passion and a few full-length novels later, here we are.

I love anything spooky and impossible to explain. If you love hanging out in cemeteries, the older the better, I’d totally go on a road trip with you.

I have two rescue dogs, a patient husband, and an awesome kid.

Friends with Benefits

Friend Zone Series, #3
by Nicole Blanchard
Publication Date: June 25, 2020
Genres: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Read for FREE in KindleUnlimited: Amazon

Tripp Wilder is more than a friend…

..but Ember Stevens is determined not to make him a boyfriend. After a bad breakup, she prefers the sex without the strings and who better to teach her about NSA relationships than her love ’em and leave ’em neighbor, Tripp?

It’s the best of both worlds. She gets all the fun aspects of a relationship–the sex, the cuddling, the secrets in the dark–without all the obligations and resentment that go along with it.

Ember Stevens is everything he wants…

…but can’t have. Tripp lost his chance at a relationship with Ember years ago and has settled for being her BFF ever since. Now that she’s on the market again, he refuses to let his second chance with her pass him by.

Except she’s not interested in commitment.

Stuck between a rock and a hard-on, Tripp agrees to show Ember how to navigate the world of casual sex, but he’s determined to convince her that nothing can go wrong when a friendship comes with a guaranteed happy ending.

When all is lost, our friends are who we can lean on, right?

Ember’s relationship with Tripp can’t be classified as “just friends”, but the two have made their non-romantic relationship work for roughly 4 years. But, one kiss changes everything in the biggest way.

I liked Tripp and his easy brand of confidence and understanding. He was patient with Ember as she sorted her issues out, but knew exactly when to push her to get out of her head. He makes me want my own replica of him.

Ember is accustomed to taking care of everyone to the detriment of her own needs and wants. And for some time, she’s wanted Tripp. As she navigates her family & personal problems, she’s amazingly resilient but she’s the only person who doesn’t see it. I liked that she finally stood up for her sisters so that they could have a stable home.

I enjoyed this warm, heart-stoppingly sweet romance.

#ARC #Review: Crazy Sexy Love by @AlisonGBailey1 ~ 4.5 stars

First we were enemies…

I’m an intelligent and independent woman with a fantastic career. My personal life is perfect. No attachments or commitments. I know firsthand there is no such thing as “happily ever after” and I’m okay with that. I love everything about men—their broad shoulders, bulging biceps, and chiseled jawlines. I love when they come and especially when they go. I’m living my best life.

At least I thought I was until the day a six foot, green eyed buffoon who wouldn’t take no for an answer knocked on my door needing a place to stay. Doug Truman is an unwanted entity that I’m forced to endure. But as hard as I try to tolerate his antics, he still drives me crazy in more ways than one.

What woman wouldn’t want me? Sophie Cipriano that’s who. I don’t get it. I’m hot, funny, and can charm the clothes off anyone. Tons of naked chicks have said so. I would gladly supply names and numbers if I could remember any of them. I’m not a jerk. I’m just forgetful. Except when it comes to Sophie. Sure her lips call me every horrible name in the book, but her eyes light up with fire whenever we’re near each other. Sophie’s utter loathing of me only makes her more desirable. All I need is one night to get her out of my system.

When we became roommates I knew she wouldn’t be able to resist me for long. But little did I know I wouldn’t be able to resist falling in love.

This was sweet, swoon-worthy and fun!

Sophie is a commitment-phobe who doesn’t need a man. She’s intelligent, driven & successful with a good helping of fierce. Only those who know her well know her soft side. Doug enjoys the company of all women, so why Sophie doesn’t like him is a huge mystery. Yet, as he unravels the layers to her personality, he begins realising that perhaps she needs a little more than she insists she doesn’t.

Doug & Sophie’s “hatred” of each other is the best kind of foreplay – the kind where you’re flirting without knowing it, then suddenly you can’t live without each other ’cause you’ve fallen madly in love.

I loved their banter. You could tell they had chemistry – they just were in deep denial about it. I enjoyed the secondary characters, too. There were quite a few moments that I just couldn’t help but laugh out loud at.

I wholeheartedly recommend this read. You’ll fall for Doug just as Sophie & I did, too.

Life as a CIA operative might be exciting, but living under the radar gets lonely.

Meeting someone, much less having a relationship, is the most impossible mission of all.

There was someone… once. But she was looking for a white picket fence and I was headed for war.
Now, my years of service to my country are catching up with me and I’m ready for a change.
I just never expected that change to be Shannon, or that she would be in trouble.
The man in me can’t forget that damn kiss. The Marine in me is ready to protect her at all costs.
She might not want my help, but I’m not walking away this time.
Even if it won’t have the ending either of us were looking for…

This is a sweet second chance romance.

Shannon has never forgotten Ace – the one who got away. He made one single night so special that the memory has never left her. Ten years later, he’s back, as handsome as ever, but in protector mode. Will their unplanned second chance work out?

This romance was very sweet. I also liked the twist that the author brought to the suspense angle. I had a smile on my face as I read the final page.

I enjoyed reading this book, and I recommend it.

About the Author:

USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast.

A typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max), Kat can usually be found scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) – traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible.

Kat’s been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. Since then she’s been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles.

As you can guess from her Las Vegas Sidewinders series, Kat loves hockey and occasionally writes articles about her favorite team, the Florida Panthers. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There’s something enticing about hockey players and romance…

#ReleaseBlitz: @ViKeeland & @PenelopeAuthor Cocky Hero Club – June 28, 2020

Release Date: June 28, 2020
Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are excited to bring you the Cocky Hero
Club: original works from various authors inspired by Keeland and Ward’s New
York Times bestselling Cocky Bastard series.
Sexy. Demanding. Cocky.
All words I would use to describe Kingston Avery.
The owner of Avery Capital Holdings— and my new boss.
It was tempting enough working together everyday, but ignoring his wicked promises under his roof was impossible.
But the company had a zero fraternization policy, and things were already complicated enough.
I needed to focus on doing my job.
And avoid doing my boss.
Kingston wasn’t just another suit…
He was a cocky suit.
And when the suit came off,
He was a man who could steal my heart.
Gorgeous. Attentive. Compassionate.
I just hope it didn’t cost me my career.

Kingston has the hots for his new head of HR – a hiring decision he questions the wisdom of, since he can’t stop thinking about her. But she manages to get under his prickly shell of skin and teaches him to care again.

From the beginning, you could tell Pria & Kingston had chemistry in spades! Their one-on-one interactions made me laugh & swoon. The doggy shenanigans were a hoot, as was Pixy’s cameo. I loved this steamy office romance, and I am sure you will, too!

I enjoyed this author’s writing style, and look forward to more of her work. She knew just how much heat, drama, humor & snark to mix together.

On paper I have it all. Wealth, security, and a collection of vehicles that spark envy,
even amongst LA’s rich and famous. Money is all I ever wanted, but now that I have it in spades, I’m restless.
For the first time in my life, I want things cash can’t procure. I want a real relationship. Beauty and brains. A salacious little minx who isn’t afraid to call me out. My equal, in and out of the bedroom.
The problem is I have no clue where to find a woman like that.
Imagine my luck when I come upon a curvy, gorgeous maiden in distress, stranded on the side of I-10 like a mirage fashioned from my deepest desires. It’s fate. Kismet.
Only she isn’t impressed. Not by my money, my power, or my ability to make all her
dreams come true. Hell, she won’t even accept my ride without an argument. But I’m not giving up. She doesn’t know who she’s dealing with, and I’m not afraid to play dirty.

Levi McCoy took me under his wing when we were kids. He was my protector. My best friend.
My everything.
And I was his sidekick.
When he landed an internship at Montague Enterprises, I was thrilled. Hundreds of
people had applied, and Levi and his roommate had made the cut. There was just one problem. Only one of them would be offered the permanent position.
That’s when things got messy.
The two bargained for the final job offer, using me as their pawn.
And I fell for it. The scheming. The stolen kisses. The late night texts. My heart was
being torn in two, and neither one of them cared. I was nothing but a pretty face to one of them, and an easy target for the other.
All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn’t see
coming. Hell, it should’ve never started in the first place.

Who thought writing ‘LOSERS’ on a menu could lead to an affair of love notes?
It didn’t start out as love. How could it when I vowed never to fall in love…
Reef Burton, the sexy blue-eyed football player, and his mates are definitely not

Reef & Macy both have trust issues and it makes for a rocky relationship as they push and pull against each other.

I had a bit of difficulty getting into the story as Reef & Macy were hard to connect with. I bought the initial attraction, but the development of real affection & evidence of chemistry was hard for me to see. However, I did like the notes (more cute & sweet than cocky, though). I also liked that it was set before the events of Cocky Bastard.

One trip down the stairs, caused by a lone Lego, while wrapped in a towel, spewing a
plethora of profanities, and my cell phone went flying.
I landed on my ass, and then the ER.
Between those two occurrences was a FaceTime call, placed by a bouncing phone, to the number of a man I didn’t even truly look at, who had now seen more of my body than anyone had since my Tinder days, over a year ago.
Three declined calls later, I limped out the door to get myself to the ER before starting my hectic day.
The ER was packed, but when I saw Nurse Bridget, one of my students’ mothers, I pleaded my case, and she hurried me into an examination room.
An hour later, I left on crutches with a bruised ass, a fractured ankle, and an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon at four p.m.
Arriving fifteen minutes late for that appointment, I heard the sexy yet very brash accent of a man who clearly had an obsession with punctuality and had, apparently, no bedside manner.
Dr. Ethan Stewart, tall, copper-haired, sinfully sexy … was a total ass.
After a tongue-lashing about how irresponsible I was to, first, leave the ER with such an injury, and second, be late, I put him in his place … or so I thought.
Turned off by his arrogant attitude, turned on by the roguish glint in his green eyes and
the way he spoke, I left his office a hot … and wet mess.
Upon exiting, my phone rang again. It was the same number from before, and I couldn’t
help answering to give the caller a piece of my mind.
Once in my car, I hung up, tossed my phone on the passenger seat, and then looked out the window to see him with his phone to his ear and a grin spread across his far too handsome face.
It couldn’t be …
Could it?

This story was funny & steamy.

Having not ever seen Outlander, I didn’t have a basis for Elizabeth’s/Lizzie’s Jamie obsession, but I understood her frustration in being unable to find a man that didn’t live up to her fantasies. Though she initially came off as confused and sort of silly, I ended up liking her for her grit & determination to get her life to a place where she was happy & truly satisfied.

Ethan was a little harder to pin down. He was super harsh and a jerk at the beginning, making me question whether I would enjoy the story. I liked that he was straightforward, but felt that he could have been a bit kinder! As the story continued, however, I fell in love with the sweeter, warmer side he had kept hidden.

I enjoyed Elizabeth & Ethan’s tension-filled romance. They had great chemistry together, and I enjoyed the plot as they worked on their misunderstanding. Ethan’s daughter was a sweetie pie, too! I loved the book’s epilogue a lot. It made me fall even more for Ethan.

He was someone who belonged on the cover of Sports Illustrated instead of in my small
beach town.
A sexy, cocky Australian soccer star named Finn was the last person I expected to be
living with for two weeks.
He showed up at my brother’s house on his wedding night, hot, drunk, and very much not married. Next thing I knew, we were roommates, spending nights watching TV and getting to know one another.
Those two weeks turned into more than either of us bargained for.
He was fresh off a broken heart and I had a boyfriend.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for the jilted jock, especially when I knew we’d be going our
separate ways.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except he’s not letting me go without a fight.

There’s nothing sexier than a man who’s serious about a woman and willing to do whatever it takes to make her know that he’s willing to fight for her and their relationship. I loved that Finn, once he recognized that what he had with Adele was special, didn’t try to run and hide his feelings in other women. Even when Adele was scared of the feelings he stirred in her, he never became petty.

I understood Adele’s caution and her desire to shield herself from the spotlight that would be on its highest beam because of who Finn was. I was happy that she decided to live for herself before she made any serious decisions.

I really enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Finn & Adele’s easy connection. The plot was refreshingly sweet. I usually love Rebecca’s work, and this was no exception.

It was my time, a cross country drive heading home for my brother’s wedding to figure out my life after college. Me, my dog named Goat, and the open road. That’s all I wanted.
He wasn’t supposed to be part of it. My older brother’s high school friend and my sister’s ex. The cocky boy my eleven-year-old-self hated.
The infamous Smith Blackburn.
AKA Smug Bastard.
The guy every girl wanted to be with and every guy wanted to be.
The day after graduation, he left town and disappeared, losing contact with my family. But nine years later, he resurfaces and becomes a thorn in my side once again.
After his motorcycle breaks down, my older siblings convince me to let him ride home with me. Kyle wants his old buddy at his wedding, and Kasey, still carrying a torch for him, wants nothing more than to see him again, convinced they are meant to be. It’s the last thing in the world I want, but I learned long ago going up against the powerhouse twins is futile.
After nine years, we’ve both grown up, but our mutual dislike lingers.
Though I can’t deny he is the sexiest man I have ever seen in my life. His piercing blue eyes, gorgeous rugged face, and muscular, tall figure belong on magazine covers. But he’s still a smug bastard, and I’m still the annoying little “Baby K.”
Spending every minute together in a tiny camper van starts to twist the lines of hate, igniting feelings and passions I’ve never felt before, shoving me out of my safety bubble. Tension grows, and nights are filled with strain and forbidden desire.
But I can feel him holding back. Cagey and cryptic, Smith’s dark past hints at the surface.
When it finds us, nothing could have prepared me for the truth—the secrets that flip everything upside down.
I wasn’t supposed to fall for him.
He was never meant to be mine.

So. Much. Heat.

Where do I begin??

Smith is trying to pick up the pieces of his life. He needs a distraction like he needs a hole in the head, but he gets one in the form of Kinsley, his best friend’s baby sister. Forced to take a road trip together across the country, he’s conflicted by the new feelings she rouses in him. But he’s not good enough for her, anyway.

Kinsley has never liked Smith aka Smug Bastard, a fact she was never shy of revealing. But nine years later, she’s struggling to remember the reason for her dislike. Not only is Smith hotter, but he forces her out of her shell, enticing her to live instead of simply existing. The fact that he’s forbidden makes it frustrating for Kinsley, who, having always been a rule follower, suddenly wants to break all the Smith-related rules.

I absolutely enjoyed this addition to the Cocky Hero Club world. The tension was so thick, the angst so tangible and the heat?! OMG! *fans self* The chemistry between Kinsley & Smith was undeniably hot. The constant push and pull kept me glued to the book’s pages and kept me rooting for them to wake up to the realisation that they had something worth fighting for.

I recommend this read. This friends-to-lovers/forbidden/older brother’s best friend read with a plot twist is sure to keep you as enthralled as it did me.

All I wanted was to escape the scandal.
The job offer in California was the perfect opportunity to pack up and head West.
A dark, sexy, and mysterious new boss wasn’t in the plan.
And his secrets run deeper than just his business dealings.
When Ethan reveals who and what he truly is, it throws everything I ever thought I knew
about the world out the window.
The word alone brings up visions of blood-sucking monsters.
Yet, Ethan is anything but.
Falling for him, with his dashing good looks and honed charm, was almost inevitable.
But we’re from two very different worlds, and the danger in his might just bring an end
neither of us saw coming.

#Review: Loud Mouth by @AveryFlynn

Loud Mouth (Ice Knights, #3)

I never meant to say a word, not one single word.

But I did.

Now because of something I leaked–without even realizing it–I’ve inadvertently broken up one of the Ice Knights’ most legendary bromances. And worse–I’ve kicked hockey star Ian Petrov’s grumpy level to insane levels of grump.

And what could make it worse? How about the two of us being trapped together in a remote cabin after a massive blizzard. Neither of us can leave. Just us, the snow, his resentment, and OMG sexual tension so thick it would take a snowplow to break through it.

I’ve got to get out of here before I do something even dumber than I’ve already done and kiss the sexy grouch with his misplaced anger and perfect pecs. That would be the worst, the absolute worst. But… would it be terrible if we gave in? Just a little? It’s not like we’re ever going to have to spend time together again.

Until the next morning when we’re told we have to play chummy for the press until this news cycle blows over. F.M.L.

Getting stuck in a snowstorm with your enemy is nowhere on Ian or Shelby’s agenda, but when it happens they are forced to recognise that things aren’t always as they seem, and that second chances are beautiful opportunities for love.

I enjoyed the snark and sass but felt the book missed the mark somewhat. The couple’s attraction seemed to literally come out of nowhere, and through all the hot-and-cold, I didn’t see or feel an “aha” moment where I was certain they were falling in love. I also felt the author could’ve given us more of the MC’s pasts and relate it to their character development. I was really excited for this book after reading the blurb, but it didn’t live up to the hype.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book, received via NetGalley.

Title: Boom
Author: Sabrina Stark
Genre: Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy
 Release Date: June 25, 2020
New from a USA Today Bestseller: One crumbling house. One exploded truck. And two people who think they can’t stand each other.Arden Weathers. She’s a girl on a mission, and that mission most certainly doesn’t involve Brody Blastoviak, the hometown hottie who made her college prospects go boom, and not in a good way, six years ago.

Brody Blastoviak. He knows better than to stick his you-know-what into Crazy. So why is he losing his cookies over Arden Weathers, the uptight chemistry partner who “accidentally” torched his truck back in high school?

Now, older and wiser, these former classmates are supposedly on the same team – working to restore a crumbling beach house that both of them want to claim as their own. Too bad for Arden, Brody holds not just the deed, but all of the cards and clout, too.

She’s a broke college graduate while Brody is not only hotter than ever, but obnoxiously rich and famous, thanks to Blast Tools, a rags-to-riches brotherly venture. It’s all so stupidly unfair, especially when Arden makes an appalling discovery. Turns out, she’s not nearly as immune to Brody’s charms as she thought.

And Brody? Let’s just say, this tool-toting billionaire is reluctantly learning that the girl of his nightmares just might be the girl of his dreams.

***This enemies-to-lovers new adult romance is a fun, full-length standalone billionaire romantic comedy with a guaranteed happily-ever-after!***

Arden comes back to her hometown only to find that her cousin lied to her about their grandparents’ home. Now, not only is she out of thousands of dollars, but she’s also out of the house she loved as a child. The new owner is the one man she wished she never had to see again – Brody.

But as they work together in a roundabout way to renovate her grandparents’ home, Brody & Arden realise that maybe, just maybe, they don’t know everything about each other, but that there could be a whole lot to like.

I liked the premise of the story. The Blast brothers’ relationship dynamic is intriguing. I look forward to each remaining brother’s story.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

To my infinite horror, I was staring into the hard gaze of Broderick Blastoviak – aka
Brody Blast, a guy I’d known back in high school.
We had a history, and it wasn’t terrific.
In school, he’d been a total trouble-maker through-and-through. Cocky. Obnoxiously
brilliant. And too dangerous by half.
Unlike me, he never, ever followed the rules – and yet, he never seemed to pay for it.
That dickweed had cost me a full-ride scholarship. He was the reason I’d been working two jobs to pay for college, even while taking on far too many student loans.
In a roundabout way, this also meant that he was the reason I hadn’t been able to purchase this house on my own, back when I’d had the chance three years ago.
I freaking hated him.
And boy, did he hate me, too.
Even if I hadn’t known this already, the look in his eyes would’ve been proof enough.
I sputtered, “What are you doing here?”
He gave me a look. “You mean in my house?”
“Oh come on!” I said. “It can’t be your house. There’s no furniture. And besides, why would you want to live here? Don’t you have houses all over the place already?”
This wasn’t as far-fetched as you’d think. Brilliant or not, Brody hadn’t gone to college.
Instead, he’d founded a tool-and-die company with his two older brothers and then proceeded to take the market by storm.
These days, Blast Tools – that was the name of their company – was famously successful, just like the company’s three founders.
And I meant “famous” quite literally.
A few years ago, by some miracle, the brothers had gotten themselves a weekly cable show on the Home Network, where they used their own tools to remodel older homes or
sometimes build new ones.
And just for the record, they looked very good doing it.
Damn it.

UNDISCLOSED is a contemporary romance, about old summer flings, a secret pregnancy, politics and the return of old flames.

After a summer fling in college, Gwen disappears leaving Mac to wonder what happened to her.  When she reappears a dozen years later to work on a presidential campaign with him, she has a secret that turns his life upside down but the magnetic pull between them is as strong as ever.

Book synopsis:

When I stroll into my job interview at a prestigious PR firm in D.C., the last thing I expect is my teenage fling, the sexy and enigmatic Mac, behind the desk. The firm’s newest client is a woman running against the incumbent President of the United States, and I want this job so desperately that I can taste it—not to mention I have reasons for needing the income. Big secrets I’ve kept from Mac.

Gwen disappeared years ago then shows up in my office, looking beautiful as ever. And, even worse, it kills me that she’s the perfect person for the job. I’m going crazy being in her proximity all the time, pretending we never spent that one hot summer together. Then I discover what Gwen’s been hiding from me—a young son with my eyes. Suddenly, my whole world’s upended. Between complications with my messed-up family, issues on the campaign trail, and the chemistry reigniting with Gwen, I’m forced to decide what really matters…and the kind of man and father I want to be.

I need book 2 immediately!

Since she disappeared from his life a little more than a decade earlier, Mac has thought of Gwen constantly. He is shell-shocked to see her walk through his door as a potential hire. What is even more perplexing to Mac is that despite her going incognito all those years ago, he still wants her.

“Gwen’s the most potent drug I’ve ever encountered…”

Gwen is carrying around the guilt of not being able to provide a father figure to her son. When she does find her son’s father, telling him isn’t as easy as it sounds. Not only must she deal with the awkwardness as she restructures her life around her son knowing Mac is his dad, but she must also deal with an inconvenient attraction to Mac that she must confess never dulled over the passage of nearly 12 years.

I can’t wait to find out what caused the current dynamics in Mac’s family to cause him to doubt his aptitude for fatherhood. Also, with a cliffhanger like that, I can’t wait to see what happens to Mac & Gwen’s new normal. I like the political intrigue, and can’t wait to see what else lurks beneath the surface of that angle.

I recommend this novel. Fans of political drama, teasing siblings and family secrets will enjoy it.

“No. You can put your dick wherever you want,” she snaps.

Sweet, innocent Gwen. Will you ever learn not to give me an opening like that? “Can I?” Taking a step closer, I crowd her against the wall opposite the vending machines. With my hands on either side of her shoulders and her bucket of ice pressed between us, I dip my head and skim my lips over her throat. “Can I really? Because there’s only one place I want to put it right now, baby.”

Tell me to stop. Slap me. Do something, I silently plead with her, even as I press closer, because I know this is wrong, but I can’t stop myself.

“Don’t call me that. I know why you do it.” Her voice is sharp but a little ragged with vulnerability too. She’s angry, all right, but not because her boss is being holy-fucking-hell-I’m-going-to-sue-you-and-own-your-company-when-this-is-over inappropriate but because I called her “baby.” A pet name she used to love to hate.

“I don’t think you do, Gwen,” I murmur, teasing my fingers under the hem of her shirt to stroke her hip, contemplating the wisdom of taking the bucket away from her.

“Mac…” It’s a strangled squeak of sound, barely recognizable as my name, and the bucket slips from her grasp and clatters to the floor, scattering ice around our feet.

Not wasting a second, I press forward, crushing her against the wall as our mouths come together. Just as it always did, our kiss seems to speak a language known only to us, unique and intimate and full of all the things neither of us has the courage to express with words. When she sucks on my lower lip, she’s saying I’ve missed you, and when I nibble at the corner of her mouth, I’m asking why did you go? She bites me. It doesn’t matter, I’m here now. I lick the seam of her lips. I want you. She opens for me, inviting me to deepen the kiss. Then take me.
