Series Cover Reveal: Assassins in Love by Tawna Fenske

Assassins in Love, an all-new contemporary romance series filled with steam, laughter, twists and turns from USA Today bestselling author Tawna Fenske, kicks off April 7th with KILLER INSTINCTS! Check out your first look at the steamy covers!

He’s a hired gun. A hardened killer. So how’d he end up bottle-feeding lambs for his best friend’s sister?

Dante didn’t set out to deceive. His favor for a pal in prison got him this farmhand job, and Jen needs help guarding more than her blueberries. Someone’s set on hurting her, and he’ll make damn sure they don’t. She can’t know who sent him or why he’s handier with a handgun than a hoe. But none of that matters more than keeping Jen safe.

To save the girl, he’ll have to pair old skills with new. A princess tea party and an old-fashioned gunfight? Why not. Grape stomping and grenades? Sign him up.

But as the enemy closes in, there’s one skill Dante finds he doesn’t have: The strength to walk away when the job is done.

He’s a hacker. A high-tech hitman. And now . . . a daddy?

When Matteo skips prison with a clean record, his conscience is anything but. Guilt hits him like a sack of marbles when he spots the woman he jilted. The clincher? Her child who looks like him.

Renee’s son may have Matteo’s eyes, but she won’t say who fathered AJ. She’s also mum on what sent her into hiding or why guys with guns are after her. But when Matteo blocks an attack, he persuades Renee to appoint him their protector.

Keeping them safe means faking they’re a normal family road tripping with s’mores and snuggles and possibly a sniper rifle. Toss in a potty-training toddler and temptation from the woman he still craves, and it’s officially Matteo’s toughest mission.

But with danger nipping their heels, the only way to save his family may be to leave their lives for good.

KILLER MOVES is out May 12th!

He’s a covert operator. A killer built by the U.S. Army. He’s tasked with taking out his dream girl—and not on a date.

Targeting Nicole should be simple, since she hates his guts. Sebastian The Dentist—yes, a real freakin’ dentist, don’t make it scary—has wanted Nic since they first locked horns. He’s not sure why they’re enemies, but knows there’s more to the sweet daycare owner than crayons and cardigans. But discovering her secrets lands them both in danger they’ll dodge only by working together.

Between awkward wedding dates and puppies with no personal space, Sebastian and Nic get closer. They’re also close to discovering if Nic’s dead associate may not be so dead.

If Sebastian can stop her from hating him long enough to eliminate the threat, they might just fall in love. But only Nic can stop him from hating himself.

Release Blitz: Text and Confused by Whitney Dineen & Melanie Summers ~ 4.5 stars

Release Date: December 27

It’s hate at first text. Or is it…?
I’m Toni Capella and I’m a bad-man-o-holic. (Hi, Toni!). If a guy lives on the eastern seaboard, is covered in tattoos, muscles, and motor oil, I’ve probably already dated and dumped him. But it’s a new year and for the first time in my twenty-nine years I’m determined to attract Mr. Right. I’m doing this by changing my type and my look.
So when super-hot contractor Cooper Flint walks into my office, I immediately put him on my ‘no way’ list. He embodies every bad boy trait there is. Besides, my eye is on another new co-worker, Somner Livingston. Handsome, well-heeled, and professional, Somner is nothing like my usual type, which I assume makes him perfect for me.
Determined to take things slowly for once, I insist Somner and I keep our budding relationship separate from work. I even suggest we do our initial courting via text while we get to know each other better. Things are going beautifully and just when I’m starting to think he’s ‘the one,’ I find out there’s been a horrible mix-up. My boss accidentally gave me Cooper’s number, not Somner’s, and I’m falling for Mr. Wrong, again.
Unfortunately, after I break it off with Cooper, I discover that Somner isn’t the good guy he portrays himself to be. When Cooper rescues me from a compromising situation, I belatedly realize I might be been missing out on the man of my dreams.
Have I lost my chance at true happiness or is there someway I can convince Cooper I’m the woman he needs?

In a case of mistaken identity, two persons find exactly who and what they were looking for.

Cooper is the black sheep of his family, but underneath it all he wants a wife, home and love to make him as happy as he is with his chosen career path. When he meets Toni when he begins his newest job, he thinks he’s one step closer. But when he finds out that she’s not looking for his type, he wonders how his wires ever got that crossed.

Toni wants true love, but she keeps picking the wrong men. When a miscommunication lands her in a text disaster, she panics, and tries to banish Cooper from her life. But as she attempts to forget him, she soon realises that maybe, she had been texting the right guy all along.

Cooper is a sweetheart, and I loved him immediately. He’s perfect boyfriend material. I loved Toni as a heroine, too. I couldn’t help but relate to her on so many levels. I loved this book’s secondary characters so much! I am definitely going to check out the rest of this series.

I loved the way the story unfolded, and couldn’t help but enjoy the read. I found it hard to stop reading at times. This book will have you laughing and tearing up, while cheering as this couple finds their HEA.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

Meet Whitney Dineen

Whitney Dineen is a rock star in her own head. While delusional about her singing abilities, there’s been a plethora of validation that she’s a fairly decent author (AMAZING!!!).

After winning many writing awards and selling nearly a kabillion books (math may not be her forte, either), she’s decided to let the voices in her head say whatever they want (sorry, Mom). She also won a fourth-place ribbon in a fifth-grade swim meet in backstroke. So, there’s that.

Whitney loves to play with her kids (a.k.a. dazzle them with her amazing flossing abilities), bake stuff, eat stuff, and write books for people who “get” her. She thinks french fries are the perfect food and Mrs. Roper is her spirit animal.

Meet Melanie Summers

I got SUPER lucky and my first novel, Break in Two, a steamy contemporary romance cracked the Top 10 Paid on Amazon in both the UK and Canada, and the top 50 Paid in the USA. My Full Hearts Series was then picked up by both Piatkus Entice (a division of Hachette UK) and HarperCollins Canada.

My first three books have been translated into Czech and Slovak by EuroMedia. Since 2013, I’ve written and published sixteen novels and three novellas (and counting). I’ve sold over a quarter of a million books around the globe, and received two Bronze Medals at the Readers’ Favorite Award in the Chick Lit Category for The Royal Treatment (2018) and Whisked Away (2019), and one Silver Medal at the Readers’ Favorite Awards in the Women’s Fiction Category for The After Wife (2019).

Not bad for a newbie, eh?

I’m from Edmonton, Canada, where I live with my taller half, our three ‘spirited’ children (such a nice word to describe the chaos, no?). We also share our home with the cuddliest no-eyed dog ever, Lucy, and a furry Cuban dictator named Nelson. When I’m not writing, I love reading (obviously), snuggling up on the couch with the gang for movie night (which would not be complete without lots of popcorn and milkshakes), and long walks in the woods near my house.

I also spend a lot more time thinking about doing yoga than actually doing it, which is why any authorized photos of me are taken ‘from above’.

Oh, and I also love shutting down restaurants with my girlfriends. Well, not literally shutting them down, like calling the health inspector or something. More like just staying until they turn the lights off.

Release Blitz: Wildcat by Rebecca Jenshak ~ 5 stars

Wildcat by Rebecca Jenshak is now live!

I met my dream girl.

That’s right. She’s stunning and the worst bartender I’ve ever seen.

I should have gone home and gone to sleep—dream girl or not. I had an early morning and the season was starting soon. But when she threatened me with boy band karaoke I couldn’t help myself. I went. The stars aligned.

I have never felt more alive or wanted anyone more than I want her.

When it’s time for me to head on my annual pre-season boys trip, I barely let her go.

It’s been a week and I can’t stop thinking about her.

Except there she is. Right here at the Wildcat’s kickoff party.

And as luck would have it, my dream girl is the coach’s youngest daughter.

But everyone knows the coach’s daughter is off limits. Right?

Wildcat is a full-length sports romance with a hot-as-puck hero, the coach’s daughter, and an unfortunate case of mistaken identity.

The Wildcats are the youngest team in the NHL. On the ice, they’re cocky, determined, and ready to take the league by storm. Off the ice? They’re always up for a wild time.

I loved this romance.

Leo is a scene-stealer, and totally the kind of man and boyfriend I’d want. Nothing about him seems forced or fake. He’s selfless, humble, considerate and protective. Plus, the dude loves the Backstreet Boys! In short, he’s perfect. I kept swooning every time he called Scarlett his dream girl. Scarlett is loveable, too. She’s super relatable, which scored her major points with me. She’s at the point where she’s just figuring out what she truly wants out of life, and has to face possibly disappointing her parents while searching for her niche. Their romance is just so good! They spark off each other almost immediately, and it is clear that they have something special.

I generally love Jenshak’s sport romances, but I truly feel that this series is going to be awesome in a different, crazy-good way. This entire team of hockey players and secondary characters have me invested, and I cannot wait for all their journeys.

I recommend this read wholeheartedly and unreservedly.

Somer is the overworked underdog in her family business, but she sucks it all up as she intends to be CEO one day. When there seems to be an imminent threat to tank the business, Somer is tasked with rooting out the problem and guiding the ship back into safe waters. But as she investigates, she begins to find out that things aren’t as they always seemed to appear. Even her mark/target, James/Hank is not as his reputation makes him out to be, and she finds herself with more than her family legacy on the line – her heart.

James/Hank is never happy when he’s mistaken for his boss, or has to impersonate him, but when a mix-up lands him a chance with the new neighbour, he’s determined to milk it for all that it’s worth. As he finds out more about Somer, what began as a way to blow off steam suddenly becomes too important to trivialize, and as her connections to his life come to light, he’s forced to make a choice. Can his choice give him the best of both worlds?

This was a good read. There were twists and turns that kept me reading, and Somer is an extremely likeable heroine. She was tough and sweet at the same time, determined to fight for what she believed in, while giving everyone else a fair chance. I liked the chemistry between her and Hank. Their banter was really witty.

I was glad to make the connection to Rogue Suit in this book, and look forward to Lana’s story sometime in the future.

I recommend this read. It’s a really good addition to the Cocky Hero Club series, with plenty heat, drama, suspense and sweetness.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

Title: The Mix-Up (Southern Hearts Club, Book 3)
Author: Melanie Munton
Genre: Romantic Comedy

Release Date: April 6, 2021
Cover Designer: L.J. Anderson at Mayhem Cover Creations
Hosted by: Buoni Amici Press, LLC.

She thought she accidentally slept with her boss…
Then she met his twin brother.

Real talk: I slept with my boss. Back before he even was my boss. Back when I had no clue who he was.
Real talk: My boss is an arrogant jerk. I hate him. If we didn’t work so well together, I would have told him exactly where he could shove his pompous attitude a long time ago.
Turns out…my boss has a twin. Identical twin.
Now I know why he’s always acted like our one night together never happened. Why he acted like he’d never met me before when I started working for him.
It wasn’t him that night. It was his brother.
A brother who’s just as gorgeous as my boss and a hell of a lot nicer.
Real talk: I’m kind of…bothered that it wasn’t my boss that night.
But that’s before certain revelations about that night come to light.

This book is full of fire & sass with heavy helpings of steam – and I loved it! Full of witty banter and innuendo-laden verbal volleys, this book sucked me in from page 1 and didn’t want to let me go.

“Thou shalt not dwelleth on the nighteth thou debased thyself with thy boss.”

Gretchen has always played it safe in matters of the heart. Her story was one I looked forward to because, although she’s happy about the lives her friends lead, she’s been closed off from situations and emotions that make her feel too deeply. She’s seen love around – most of her girlfriends are all cozied up with their own sweethearts – but she doesn’t believe it could happen for her. After all, the man she could have sworn she had a connection with, and who gave her the best night of her life doesn’t remember her, and in another cruel turn of events, he’s her boss. When some more details emerge about that fateful night, things around the office get very heated. Gretchen is catapulted out of her comfort zone, and straight into a scenario she never experienced before, but one that might just change her perspective on everything.

I absolutely loved Gretchen & Ryder’s frenemy vibe. It worked in a way I didn’t think it would, and created an eagerness in me to see how, when and where they’d take the next step in their relationship. Ryder did well, learning and strategizing his way into Gretchen’s heart. Every time he bared a little piece of his soul to her and she’d clam up, I wanted to shake her so bad!

“Somehow, I’m going to find a way to make you mine…”

I loved this book, and can’t recommend it enough. I loved Myles’ contribution in ensuring that Ryder and Gretchen got together then stayed together. Gretchen’s other support system – Quinn, Harper & Sloane – are the type of girlfriends a girl wishes to have. They were there for her, but also called her out when she was being bullheaded. The epilogue is… just wonderful!

I cannot wait for book 4. This series is amazing. Grab it as soon as you can!

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

“Why did you keep working here?”
My head snaps up, my confused gaze colliding with Ryder’s. “What?”
His expression is inscrutable, but it’s…intense. Whatever is going on behind his blue eyes must be a doozy. “If you thought you had slept with your boss, why didn’t you just quit?”
“You really want to talk about this now?” While sober?
I do confrontation best with some liquid courage.
He says nothing. Just watches me and waits.
I toss my pen onto the table. “Because if you didn’t remember it happening, then I could pretend like it never did, too. Clean slate.”
When his tongue slowly drags over his lower lip, I can’t tell if he likes that answer or not.
I roll my eyes with a huff. “Plus, not to add to your already inflated ego, this is the best market and ad firm in the area, despite your abhorrent people skills. It was a dream job for me.”
He taps his finger against the gleaming wood of the table. Tap, tap, tap. “You made it clear right from the start that you weren’t my biggest fan. Can I now assume that was because you were angry that I, from your perspective, didn’t remember us having sex?”
I have no answer.
What the hell am I supposed to say to that? I’m afraid the truth will make me sound like a naïve girl who became obsessed with a guy after only one night.
FYI, I didn’t.
Tap, tap, tap of his finger. “But being angry implies that you wanted me to remember.” A muscle pops in his jaw. “It was that good for you?”‘Kay, now I’m rattled.
Because now I know that I never slept with Ryder Colson. My long-time annoyance with him is unfounded, yet it feels as strong as ever and I don’t know what to do about it.
“We’re not talking about this,” I state firmly.
“Why not?”
Seriously? “Because now I know it wasn’t you. Which means that none of this is your business. We”—I gesture between us—“never slept together.”
Your brother and I did was the unspoken part of that sentence.
He hears it. And his nostrils flare.
“You’re right,” he admits gruffly. “It wasn’t me. Because if it had been me, I wouldn’t have forgotten a single detail. Like Myles obviously did.”
My face goes slack.
Did he just—? Did I hear him say—?
Ryder just took us into another realm. Another dimension. For the first time ever, he turned a sexual corner with me. One I thought we both silently agreed to never even approach, let alone maneuver around.
But he went there. He put it out there.
“Are you saying I’m not worth remembering?”
His face darkens, hardens. “Fuck, no. I’m saying anyone who doesn’t remember a night with you didn’t deserve to have you in the first place.”I just stare…
…mouth agape…
…and stare some more…
…and drool a little…
I shake my head. Like a dog. What the frig is happening right now?
Is Ryder saying that he wants a night with me? Or is this just some male chauvinist thing where he has to assert himself as the most virile man in the village because he senses another encroaching on his territory?
He does realize I’m not his territory, though, right?
I’m not his anything. Except employee.
“I’d say it’s for me to decide whether or not someone deserves me,” I eventually say, my voice oddly hoarse.
Tap, tap, tap. “You never answered my question.”
I know which one he’s talking about, but I still ask. “What question?”
Tap, tap, tap. “Was it good for you?”
I cross my arms over my chest, assessing him. Okay, fine. He wants to go there? Let’s do this. “We’re talking about your brother here. You really want to know?”
Tap…tap…tap. “He may not remember it, but you clearly do. It couldn’t have been the worst you’ve ever had.”
“What if I said it was the best?”
His face reflects a range of emotions in a matter of seconds that confuses the crap out of me. At first, his eyes crinkle in the corners, as if he’s pleased. Then they narrow to slits as banked fury emanates from them.
“Then I’d say that’s because I haven’t had you.”
My jaw unhinges like a snake’s.
He slowly nods, his eyes burning holes through me. “Yeah, duchess. I said that.”

Melanie grew up in a small town in rural Missouri. After marrying her husband, she decided she wanted to try coastal life because why not? A few months later, they moved to North Carolina where she discovered her passion for writing, and they never looked back. They are now enjoying life with their beautiful daughter in Savannah, GA and loving every minute with their little Georgia peach.

Melanie’s other passion is traveling and seeing the world. With anthropology degrees under their belts, she and her husband have made it their goal in life to see as many archaeological sites around the world as possible.

She has a horrible food addiction to pasta and candy (not together…ew). And she gets sad when her wine rack is empty.

At the end of the day, she is a true romantic at heart. She loves writing the cheesy and corny of romantic comedies, and the sassy and sexy of suspense. She aims to make her readers swoon, laugh out loud, maybe sweat a little, and above all, fall in love.

#CoverReveal: The Accidental Fiancé by @christi_barth

Title: The Accidental Fiancé
Series: Love Lottery Book 1
Author: Christi Barth
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Romantic Comedy
Release Date: February 23, 2021

Is it the chance of a lifetime or his biggest mistake?

When former hotel manager Alex Kirkland, his sister and their best friends pooled their money for an unusual lottery prize—a historic, dilapidated inn on the Maryland shore—as a last-ditch attempt to escape rotten circumstances, they never expected to win. But they’re all looking for a fresh start and a second chance, so Alex convinces everyone to move in and repair the building in time for the spring wedding season.

Sydney Darrow never planned to return to her hometown. But her family needs her and Sydney can endure anything for 90 days—including making sandwiches and serving coffee with a smile until she returns to her jet-setter career. When her grandma mistakes a handsome customer for the “fiancé” Sydney created when she thought her grandma was on death’s door, well…Sydney will do anything to keep her spirits up during treatment. She can persuade him to keep up the charade for a few months, right?
But when Alex agrees to play along, will they both fall for their own fiction?

Alex’s expression morphed into straight-up solemnity, like he’d slipped on a mask. “The four of us have no incoming income until we get this inn running. Damn straight I’m all about the bottom line.”

“I guess I can add practical to your list of traits.” Which Sydney appreciated. It was the people who pretended not to care about money but pinched every penny in secret that were difficult. Hiding things—anything, big or small—never turned out well.

In a tone drier than Death Valley, Alex said, “That is just what every man longs to hear during a proposal. That practicality came in ahead of good looks and sex appeal.”

“I didn’t say that.” Did he truly not know that he smoldered with sex appeal? That he could be the man in a cologne/watch/champagne ad? It was actually endearing that he needed a bit of an ego stroke. “Alex, you’re suavely handsome. Your smiles are rare, and all the more potent because of it.”

Those icy eyes widened in…disbelief? Appreciation? Hard to tell. But then he dipped his chin. “Nice to hear. Was that so hard?”

“I didn’t realize you needed a bit of flirting to consider this favor. It seemed…forward to lead off with cataloging your physical traits.”

“Forward?” A huge belly laugh rolled out of him. It was warm and contagious, even though Sydney knew it was aimed at her. “You just proposed after a grand total of ten minutes of conversation, over two days.”

Men had a tendency to be so darned literal. “I’m not proposing for real. I’m asking for your help. You will, in no way, be obligated to follow through into a fake marriage.”

“Then where does the line get drawn?” Alex braced a hand on the back of the couch and leaned forward. He leaned in so close that his breath warmed her ear. “How interesting does this get?”

For a moment—okay, three—Sydney let herself enjoy the closeness. The heat pumping off him through the waffle-weave shirt onto her chest. The brush of his biceps against the back of her head. How their knees pressed together. It was all intimate and on the edge of…something. She just wasn’t sure what.

USA TODAY bestselling author Christi Barth earned a Masters degree in vocal performance and embarked upon a career on the stage. A love of romance then drew her to wedding planning. Ultimately, she succumbed to her lifelong love of books and now writes award-winning contemporary romance, including the Naked Men and Aisle Bound series.

Christi can always be found either whipping up gourmet meals (for fun, honest!) or with her nose in a book. She lives in Maryland with the best husband in the world.

The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city.
Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts.
I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time.
Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was. You see, that unexpected invitation I received? Well, it hadn’t actually been addressed to me—it was sent to my ex-roommate who’d bounced a check for two months’ rent and moved out in the middle of the night. I figured she owed me an expensive night out, but I guess, technically, I was crashing the wedding.
Once caught, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. As I bolted for the door, I might’ve plucked a few bottles of expensive champagne off the tables I passed, all while the gorgeous, angry groomsman was hot on my tail.
Outside, I jumped into a taxi. My heart ricocheted against my ribs as we drove down the block—but at least I’d escaped unscathed.
Or so I thought.
Until I realized I’d left my cell phone behind at the table.
Take one guess who found it?
This is the crazy story of how Hudson Rothschild and I met. But trust me, it’s only the tip of the iceberg.

#ReviewBlitz: Return Billionaire to Sender by @Annika_Martin ~ #5stars

Return Billionaire to Sender by Annika Martin is now live!

I may be a shy, lowly letter carrier, but when my beloved apartment building is threatened by a mysterious and reclusive billionaire, I’m willing to push the envelope. I’m going to march right up to Malcolm Blackberg’s fortress of fierceness and deliver a cease-and-desist notice he can’t refuse.

Only, no sooner do I get inside his gilded doors than things go sideways–fast. I’m mistaken for Malcolm’s court-ordered emotional IQ coach, as if I’m acting out a wacky postal carrier cosplay.

They drag me in, a sacrificial lamb for the big bad. Make that big, smolderingly sexy bad.

So I make up a lesson involving a story about our building as he glares and fumes. Can he tell that I have no idea what I’m doing?

Before I know it I’m flying around the country, up close and personality testing the most devilishly exasperating man I’ve ever met.

He’s scary for sure…but the way he sometimes looks at me turns my knees to jelly and has me writing love letters to his gorgeous eyes, his mouthwatering smile, his impressive…package.

Our coaching sessions are getting hot-hot-hot, but I can’t let my guard down. If he ever finds out I’m a first-class fake, I’ll lose everything I’ve ever loved in this world…

Noelle does a complete 180 on her personality to do battle against Malcolm Blackberg, the big bad monster who’s threatening her and her friends’ home. Normally shy, she becomes tenacious and determined, hoping he’ll see things her way. But a case of mistaken identity helps her more than she ever thought it would, but as with all secrets, it could harm their fledgling relationship when unexpected feelings take hold.

Malcolm likes his reputation as a villain. No one is more annoyed than he is that he needs emotional coaching. Yet, “Elle” captures his attention in a way that no other woman has ever done before. And he finds himself caring and feeling things he’s never felt. He’s also doing nice things… But is Elle too good to be true? Is he really less evil than he believes?

I really liked Noelle’s character. She may come off as naive, but she truly believed that she could help people.

I really enjoyed this book. I was rooting for Noelle & Malcolm so hard. The characters from 341 West 45th Street are a hilarious, sweet group that you can’t help but wish great things for.

I unreservedly recommend this fabulous rom-com.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
