WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme currently hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words.
I’ve managed to read all but one of the books I planned on reading when I posted last week. The book I didn’t get around to was Never the Bride, though I plan to remedy that soon.
What am I currently reading?
An ARC of Aries (Zodiac Killers #5)
Seth Stone, The Zodiac’s Aries, has always wanted to lead and his upcoming run for office could make that dream come true. But when a phone call from Bay Collins threatens to expose him, he’s forced to make a deal that could ruin everything. As his campaign manager convinces him to clear out any skeletons in his closet, Seth’s more determined than ever to be done with his childhood friends and leave the Zodiacs in the past.
Darek Blake knew that hooking up with his partner Lizzy was a risk, and when she gets called away on a different assignment, their budding relationship will be put to the test. Along with his strained personal life, walking the line between cop and Zodiac will start to take its toll, and if Darek snaps, the walls that protect his friends could come crumbling down.
I’ve been following this series so far, and it hasn’t disappointed. There are so many twists and turns in the plot that keep me interested and coming back for more. I fully expect to see this series to its end.
What did I recently finish reading?
The Billionaire’s Claim: Obsession by Nadia Lee
An angel. A virgin. My first love.
I fell for her hard and fast ten years ago…and paid the price on a night of shattering betrayal.
So I built a billion-dollar empire out of vengeance…
And now I’m coming for her.
A maverick. A self-made billionaire. My soul mate.
Ten years ago, he shredded my heart, even as he vowed he’d take what matters most to me.
I know he’s coming, and I welcome it. I need closure for what happened that night.
But the more time I spend with him, the more I wonder…
Can I ever move on…?
Note: This is the first book in The Billionaire’s Claim duet.
This book has the perfect blend of heat & suspense. I literally cannot wait for book 2.
